Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Galaxia governing your use of the Galaxia application and the website at galaxiamea.com (together, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Please read Section 4 (nature of the Service), Section 6 (adding other people), Section 11 (disclaimers), and Section 12 (limitation of liability) carefully, as they define important limits on what the Service is and on our responsibilities.
1. Who we are and what Galaxia is
Galaxia is a relationship-intelligence application that uses astrology as a lens for understanding the people close to you. It generates astrological charts, comparisons, and interpretive readings from birth information that you provide about yourself and about other people you choose to add, and it includes an AI guide called Vela.
2. Eligibility and age
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to create an account, subscribe, or otherwise enter into these Terms. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.
The Service includes features for adding other people, who may include minors, subject to Section 6. Adding a minor as a person in your galaxy is different from a minor holding an account; minors may not hold accounts.
3. Your account
You are responsible for the information you provide, for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at help@galaxiamea.com if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized use of your account that results from your failure to safeguard your credentials.
4. The nature of the Service: for insight and reflection, not professional advice
Astrology is provided for personal insight, reflection, and entertainment. Charts, comparisons, and readings are generated from the birth information you provide, using astrological calculation and pre-written interpretive content. They are not statements of scientific or factual truth about any person, they are not predictions, and they are not a substitute for professional judgment.
The Service does not provide professional advice. Nothing in the Service is medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, financial, relationship-counseling, or other professional advice. Do not use the Service as a basis for decisions that require professional expertise. Always seek the advice of a qualified professional for such matters.
Do not use the Service in a crisis. The Service, including Vela, is not a crisis or emergency resource and is not monitored for emergencies. If you or someone else may be in danger or experiencing a mental-health crisis, contact your local emergency services or an appropriate crisis line.
No decisions about others. You agree not to use the Service, or any reading it produces, to make or inform decisions about another person's employment, housing, credit, insurance, education, or any other matter that produces legal or similarly significant effects for that person.
5. Subscriptions, trial, billing, renewal, and cancellation
Plans. Access to paid features requires a subscription. We offer a monthly plan and an annual plan at the prices shown in the Service at the time you subscribe. We may change prices prospectively; changes will not affect the term you have already paid for.
Free trial. We may offer a free trial. If you start a trial and do not cancel before it ends, your subscription will begin automatically and the payment method you provided will be charged the applicable price. The length of the trial and the date it converts are shown to you at signup.
Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually, depending on your plan) at the then-current price, using your payment method on file, until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment providers to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
Cancellation. You may cancel at any time through the Service or through the platform you subscribed on. When you cancel, you will retain access until the end of your current billing period, and you will not be charged again after that. Cancelling does not, by itself, delete your account or data; to delete your data, use the account-deletion feature (see Section 9).
Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods. Purchases made through a mobile app store are subject to that store's refund policy.
Billing providers. Billing is handled by RevenueCat and Stripe. Your use of the paid Service is also subject to their applicable terms as they relate to payment processing.
6. Adding other people, and your responsibilities
This section is essential to the Service and to your use of it.
Your representations. When you add a person to your galaxy and provide information about them, you represent and warrant that you have the right to provide that information and to use it within the Service, and that doing so does not violate any law or any obligation you owe to that person. You are solely responsible for the people you add and for how you use the readings the Service produces about them.
No harmful, unlawful, or abusive use. You agree not to use the Service to harass, stalk, surveil, profile, demean, or harm any person, and not to use it in connection with any decision described in Section 4 ("No decisions about others").
Minors. When you indicate that a person is a minor, or the Service calculates that they are, the Service restricts certain content about them, including romantic or partnership-oriented interpretation. You agree that you will not attempt to circumvent these protections and that you will not use the Service to sexualize, endanger, groom, or otherwise harm a minor. This is a fundamental condition of your right to use the Service.
People who have passed away. The Service is designed to keep a person who has died readable within your galaxy. You agree to use this feature respectfully and consistent with any obligations you may owe.
Requests and complaints from people you add. If a person you have added contacts us with a request or complaint about their information, we may contact you, and you agree to cooperate reasonably and to honor any legal obligations you owe to that person.
Indemnity for third-party data. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of information you provide about other people or your use of readings about them, as described in Section 13.
7. The Vela AI guide
Vela generates responses using artificial intelligence and our AI processing provider (see the Privacy Policy). Vela's responses are generated automatically, may contain errors or omissions, and should not be relied upon as fact or as professional advice. Section 4 applies fully to Vela. Do not use Vela in an emergency or crisis.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service in violation of any law or these Terms;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' accounts, or our systems, or to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
- scrape, harvest, or bulk-extract data from the Service;
- resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our permission;
- upload malicious code or use the Service to transmit anything unlawful, infringing, or harmful; or
- misrepresent your identity or your authorization to provide information about others.
We may investigate and take appropriate action, including suspending or terminating access, for any violation.
9. Your content, our content, and account deletion
Your content. You retain ownership of the information and content you provide. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, and use that content solely to operate and provide the Service to you (including generating readings and, where you use it, Vela responses), and as described in the Privacy Policy. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for residual copies retained as described in the Privacy Policy and for backups purged on a rolling schedule.
Our content. The Service itself — including its software, design, text, interpretive content, and the Galaxia name and branding — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content except as the Service expressly allows (for example, sharing a chart through a feature we provide).
Account deletion. You may delete your account within the Service. Deletion removes your associated personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to the Service
We are actively developing the Service and may add, change, or remove features at any time. We may also suspend or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part. Where a change materially reduces the paid features you are entitled to during a term you have paid for, we will act consistent with applicable law and, where appropriate, offer a remedy such as a pro-rated credit.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, THAT READINGS OR AI RESPONSES WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITED TO ANY PURPOSE, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS. YOU USE THE SERVICE, AND RELY ON ANY READING OR AI RESPONSE, AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION AND RISK.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GALAXIA AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Galaxia and its owners, employees, and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) information you provide about other people and your use of readings about them; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party, including any person you add to your galaxy.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 4, 6, 9 (ownership), and 11 through 16 — will survive.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [GOVERNING STATE — recommended: the state where your entity is organized or where you operate, e.g., South Carolina], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. [CONFIRM the governing state and whether you want to include an arbitration clause and/or a class-action waiver. These meaningfully affect how disputes are resolved and should be decided with counsel; if included, they typically require specific formatting and notice to be enforceable.]
Subject to the above, you agree that the state and federal courts located in [COUNTY/STATE] will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute not subject to arbitration, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
16. General
Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
